Julian also didn't comment on Felix's vehement denial, though when Felix was not looking he did cast the young man a sidelong glance that said his own opinion about that as well he was keeping to himself.

Instead he spoke up before Felix could find some denial to Marco's next suggestion-

"He'd be welcome if he wanted to. Felix was always capable, I doubt his skills have deteriorated since his ... sabbatical."

"Sabbatical," Felix said with a snort, shaking his head, incredulous. "Is that how you'd mark it down? Talk about royal privilege. ... I don't know, I don't like being parted from Marco for long."

"I'm sure he could find something to do in Arden as well," Julian offered, a small smirk on his face over the edge of his cup.
