"Of course," Marco said with a soft snort. "Disregarding rules already back then," he teased a bit, just because he could. It did sound like Felix though, the Felix he knew, the one that Felix didn't think existed. The one that was more interested in real things rather than what things looked like, the man with a gentle hands with animals and kindness buried somewhere under all the bitter layers.
"Work builds character," he said and then reached over to take the coffee pot, raising to serve them all. "This is what my father says."
As much as Amber would hate to deal with Mandor, he wasn't quite as awful as they might think. Just very disillusioned and a realist. Marco understood him now better than he had before he met Felix.
